The "Buy X Get Y" template is now available on Planet. With this new BOGO template, the promotions available on Planet are multiplied, allowing you to configure discounts such as 2 for 1, a second unit at 50%, and much more.
In the BOGO template, you will be able to configure the details of your promotion step by step to adapt it as much as possible to your store:
Buy
The purchase condition(s) refers to the conditions that must be met at the time of purchase for the discount to apply:
- Quantity of products purchased.
- Selection of products to be purchased.
- Combination of products purchased: when purchasing more than 1 product, we can configure our promotion to be applied when purchasing the same product, the same variant or different products must be purchased.
Get
In this case, we must configure the details of the reward(s) received:
- Quantity of products received: number of units received and whether it is a fixed, minimum or maximum quantity.
- Selection of products to be received: you can choose to receive products from the same selection as the purchase selection or choose different products.
- The product you purchase and the product you receive must be the same: by selecting this option, you can choose whether it is the same product that was purchased or the same variant. This option is especially useful for the 50% second unit promotion.
- Combination of products received: the products received must be the same, the same variants or different. If the checkbox is left unchecked, the promotion will be applied whatever the combination of products received.
Discount
In this section, we must configure the type of discount to be applied to the reward/s. These are the available options:
- Free: 100% discount on the product received.
- Percentage discount per unit
- Fixed amount per unit: discounts a fixed amount for each unit.
- Fixed price per unit: set a fixed price per unit.
- No discount: this option is recommended to add the widget in your eCommerce without any promotion.
In addition, you can limit the use of the discount, edit the label in the shopping cart and checkout page, and configure the discount combinations.
To display this promotion in the stores, in addition to the banner, a new widget will be available, exclusive for this promotion, which will be fully customizable:
You will be able to edit the widget settings, choosing texts, colors and font size.
In addition, you can choose whether to display the variant selector, checkboxes and redirect or not to the product when clicking on the image and many more options to adapt the widget 100% to your store.

En la plantilla de BOGO, podrás configurar los detalles de tu promoción paso a paso para adaptarla al máximo a tu tienda:
Compra
La condición o condiciones de compra hacen referencia a las condiciones que deben cumplirse al comprar para que se aplique el descuento:
- Cantidad de productos comprada.
- Selección de productos que deben comprarse.
- Combinación de los productos comprados: al comprar más de 1 producto, podemos configurar nuestra promoción para que se aplique al comprar el mismo producto, misma variante o bien, que obligatoriamente se compren productos diferentes.
Recibe
En este caso, debemos configurar los detalles de la recompensa o recompensas recibidas:
- Cantidad de productos recibida: número de unidades recibidas y si es una cantidad fija, mínima o máxima.
- Selección de productos que se recibe: puedes escoger que se reciban los productos de la misma selección que la selección de compra o bien, escoger productos diferentes.
- El producto que compra y el que recibe tienen que ser iguales: al seleccionar esta opción, puedes escoger entre que sea obligatoriamente el mismo producto que se ha comprado o bien, la misma variante. Esta opción es especialmente útil para la promoción de segunda unidad al 50%.
- Combinación de los productos recibidos: los productos recibidos tienen que ser iguales entre sí, la misma variantes o bien, ser diferentes. Si el checkbox queda sin seleccionar, la promoción se aplicará sea cual sea la combinación de productos recibidos.
Descuento
En esta sección, debemos configurar el tipo de descuento que se aplica a la recompensa, siendo estas las opciones disponibles:
- Gratis: descuento del 100% en el producto recibido.
- Descuento porcentual por unidad
- Descuento por cantidad por unidad: descuenta una cantidad fija por cada unidad.
- Precio fijo por unidad: establece un precio fijo por unidad.
- Sin descuento: esta opción se recomienda para añadir el widget en tu eCommerce sin realizar ninguna promoción.
Además, se podrá limitar el uso del descuento, editar la etiqueta en el carrito y página de pago y configurar las combinaciones del descuento.
Para mostrar esta promoción en las tiendas, además del banner, habrá disponible un nuevo widget, exclusivo para esta promoción que será totalmente personalizable:
Podrás editar la configuración del widget, escogiendo textos, colores y tamaño de la fuente.
Además, podrás escoger si mostrar el selector de variantes, los checkboxs y redirigir o no al producto al clicar en la imagen y muchas más opciones para adaptar el widget 100% a tu tienda.

We started the year by launching new features in volume discounts.
These news include:
- New discount options: besides percentage and quantity discounts, you can now choose fixed price per unit or total fixed pricein your volume discounts.For example: Buy 6 units for $100.In addition, you will be able to add non-discounted options in the quantity selector.
- Minimum or fixed quantity: you can configure your discounts to be applied starting from a certain quantity or when purchasing an exact quantity. In the case of exact quantity, you can limit the number of times the discount is applied. For example: 20% discount when buying 2 units, with a maximum of 5 usesIn this case, the maximum number of units with discount will be 10.
As for the configuration and design of the quantity selector, these are the news:
Configuration
- Customizable options: the text and labels of each option will be fully customizable. In addition, it is possible to pre-select an option.
- New labels: you can add labels to each option of your quantity selector and include variables such as quantity and discount.

Empezamos el año lanzando nuevas funcionalidades en los descuentos por volumen.
Estas novedades incluyen:
- Nuevas opciones de descuento: además de los descuentos en porcentaje y en cantidad, ahora podrás incluir descuentos de precio fijo por unidad o precio fijo totalen tus descuentos por volumen.Por ejemplo: Compra 6 unidades por 100$.Además, podrás crear opciones sin descuento en el selector de cantidad.
- Cantidad mínima o cantidad fija: podrás configurar tus descuentos para que se apliquen a partir de una cantidad o bien, al comprar una cantidad exacta. En el caso de la cantidad exacta, podrás limitar el número de veces que se aplica el descuento. Por ejemplo: 20% de descuento al comprar 2 unidades, con un máximo de 5 usos.En este caso, el máximo de unidades con descuento será de 10.
En cuanto a la configuración y diseño del selector de cantidad, estas serán las novedades:
Configuración
- Personalización de opciones: el texto y etiquetas de cada opción serán totalmente personalizables. Además, se puede preseleccionar una opción.
- Nuevas etiquetas: podrás añadir etiquetas a cada opción de tu selector de cantidad e incluir variables como la cantidad y el descuento.
- Selector de cantidad en la última opción: para facilitar el proceso de compra, los clientes podrán añadir más unidades y seleccionar la variante de cada una desde el selector de cantidad.
- Botón de compra: podrás escoger si el botón de compra redirige a la página de carrito o bien, al carrito lateral. Además, el texto del botón de compra puede incluir variables y ser diferente en la opción sin descuento.
Diseño
- Tamaño fuente: podrás cambiar el tamaño del título, opciones, precios, etiquetas y botón de compra.
- Añadir fondo al selector de cantidad: permite configurar el color de fondo y del borde.
- Color de las opciones no seleccionadas y seleccionada: ayuda a resaltar la opción seleccionada.

We know that the BFCM is a key event for your eCommerce and at Planet we are ready 💪🏼
After the new update, the internal functioning of the platform has been improved to have everything ready for this BFCM. Product loading, searching and filtering now works much faster and more efficiently.
Also, we bring you two new features that will be very useful for you:
New product table and bulk price changes
We have updated the product table to show all product variants grouped together. It is now much easier to navigate between catalog items to make changes.
You can also edit the price and compare at price of all your products in bulk in just a few minutes.
For this we have included all possible options for both values:
- Set a new price
- Make a percent or amount off discount
- Increase the price
- Remove the active discount
These changes cannot be programmed as they are applied immediately and cannot be reversed. For temporary price changes make use of the discount rules.
Hide cart button of the quantity selector in volume discounts
Now you can customize even more the volume discounts in your store. With the new update, it is possible to hide the add to cart button.
This way we avoid having two buy buttons, the one on the widget and the one on your product page. Try to place the widget above the buy button for a better user experience.

Sabemos que el BFCM es un evento crucial para vuestro eCommerce y en Planet ya estamos preparados 💪🏼
Tras la nueva actualización, el funcionamiento interno de la plataforma ha mejorado para tener todo a punto para este BFCM. Ahora la carga de productos, la búsqueda y el filtrado funciona mucho más rápido y eficaz.
Además, traemos dos novedades que te serán de mucha utilidad:
Nueva tabla de productos y cambios de precio en lote
Hemos actualizado la tabla de productos para mostrar de forma agrupada todas sus variantes. Ahora es mucho más sencillo navegar entre los artículos del catálogo para hacer cambios.
Además, podrás editar el precio y precio comparado de todos tus productos en lote en unos pocos minutos.
Para ello hemos incluido todas las opciones posibles para ambos valores:
- Establecer un precio nuevo
- Hacer un descuento porcentual o restando una cantidad
- Aumentar el precio
- Eliminar el descuento activo
Estos cambios no se pueden programar ya que se aplican de forma inmediata y tampoco se pueden revertir. Para cambios de precio temporales haz uso de las reglas de descuento.
Oculta el botón del selector de cantidad en descuento por volumen
Ahora podrás personalizar aún más los descuentos por volumen en tu tienda.
Con la nueva actualización, el botón de compra se puede ocultar.
De esta forma evitamos que aparezcan dos botones de compra, el del widget y el de tu página.
Prueba a colocar el widget encima de los botones de compra para que la experiencia de usuario sea inmejorable.

Add a banner in all your promotions
As you know, on Planet when you add your promotion you can include a banner on your product page to show that there is an active promotion.
To date, this banner was only available in some templates, and after so many people asked us for it... we have included it in all of them!
Now you can add a banner to highlight all your promotions. Your customers will see the offers at a glance and they will not be able to resist 😉
Timer ⏳
Did you think that was all? At Planet we continue working hard every day to improve your promotions.
Besides customizing the design and text of your banners, you can now include a countdown timer to show when the promotion ends.
This is essential to create a sense of urgency and to let your customers know that the promotion will last only for a limited time ⚡️
You can also make the banner clickable by adding a link to a page of your choice. So, if you have an active promotion for a collection, your customers can click on the banner and check the rest of the products.

Esto es indispensable para crear sensación de urgencia y que tus clientes sepan que la promoción durará un tiempo limitado ⚡️
También podrás hacer que el banner sea clicable añadiendo un enlace a la página que quieras. Así, si tienes una promoción activa para una colección completa, tus clientes pueden clicar en el banner y ver el resto de productos.
